Prima Group Ltd has one shareholder and it is the Wintec Foundation. Our profits are returned to the Foundation, who makes use of them in the following ways.

Wintec Foundation Mission -

To create sustainable wealth and value for the benefit of Wintec, its students and our community.

The Wintec Foundation is a charitable trust, established by the Wintec Council in 2008 to raise and provide funds for the advancement of education at Wintec. The Foundation has two channels to raise these funds – a fundraising element and a commercialisation structure to identify and develop business opportunities associated with Wintec. This commercial arm is managed by the Prima CEO.

As a charitable trust and not-for-profit organisation, the Foundation has the opportunity to raise funds and receive grants and donations, from individuals and national and international sources where Wintec may not. This funding can be applied to a wide range of programmes within Wintec, including scholarships, campus development and project funding.

Wintec Foundation Vision -

We will support Wintec in all of its strategic goals, helping to expand and strengthen both our community within Wintec and our interaction with the greater community. We will inspire in all our students, staff and graduates a sense of pride and belonging to a strong institution and a robust community.

We will use the Foundation and our alumni to influence our region and build a strong profile in it, and to promote partnerships with industry to create economic and social benefits for our region.

We will seek support from individuals, businesses and funding agencies in the local community and region to financially assist with enhancing Wintec’s educational tools, programmes, facilities and campuses. We will, through Prima, identify and develop business opportunities associated with Wintec that have a basis in education, or a significant educational aspect.
